March Member Mission Announcement!

Now that our book share project is finally wrapped up, we are back to member missions! For our March Member Mission, we will be collecting used suitcases/travel bags for Threads of Change for our local foster kids. I honestly never stopped to think about it, but there are local foster kids who are in search of a forever home traveling from home to home with their personal belongings in a trash bag. We are so thankful for our foster families. And we know not everyone can open their homes to help these kids. But we do think that everyone can help give them a travel bag/ suitcase to at least allow them to feel proud of their belongs and a sense of value for their belongings!

If you have any bags to donate, you can do one of the following:

1. Drop them off at Threads of Change directly! Address: 4905 Mount Vernon St, Temple, PA 19560.

2. Email me at heather@doitlocalfundraising.com to arrange a local delivery or pick up that is convenient to you!

If you do not have used travel bags or suitcases, we obviously also accept new ones! Here is a link to some affordable ones at Boscovs (a local staple!). There are so many great suitcases ticketed for over $100 that are marked down to $30! Check them out!

*If you spend more than $49, you can have them shipped directly to Threads of Change at no additional cost.

**If you order online or you can do a pick up at the 5th Street Highway location and someone from Do It Local or Threads of Change will be happy to pick them up.

Just email your receipt to local@doitlocalfundraising.com and put our name on your order.

Our goal is 50 suitcases, so far we have 10. We need your help!!

Last but not least, if you do donate a bag or two - could you email me to let me know? It helps me track our goal. (No problem if you forget! Just a simple request to do my best to reach our goal of 50 for these kids!)

Thank you all for taking the time to learn about our March Mission! I welcome any questions or ideas,
